Assistant Centre Manager 

Overall Purpose of Role

To support and assist the TC Manager in the management of the Centre to deliver revenue, compliance and KPI targets in line with overall business targets and deliver excellent customer service within the Centre.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day supervision of centre staff. Take responsibility for communicating branch and individual performance targets to the team and reinforcing them through effective performance focused meetings – daily and weekly
  • Monitor individual and branch performance targets specifically; actual against target, weekly, monthly and quarterly. Provide support and coaching where required to ensure staff are effective in delivering a high quality service to learners whilst achieving critical financial and KPI targets
  • Deliver one to one on the job coaching, training and mentoring to staff to ensure performance is at the standards required by the centre and the company. Identify and escalate performance issues to the manager, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained
  • Support the TC Manager and the centre in creating an excellent reputation in the local area. Take a supportive but active role in the development and management of external relationships to maximise referrals and build strong business partnerships with stakeholders
  • Support the TC Manager in promoting new programmes and contracts ensuring staff are trained and coached effectively in the delivery and compliance standards of the contract
  • To take responsibility for a cohort of learners, provide a positive training experience for learners, ensuring quality standards are adhered to and regularly evaluated
  • Ensure inductions are motivational and inspire the learner to enrol on training whilst ensuring a clear message is communicated to ensure the company’s minimum weekly learning hours of 15 are adhered to and any period of absence is challenged and escalated to the referral partner. Manage the learner’s expectations throughout their journey
  • Take responsibility (with the TC Manager) for monitoring compliance and quality standards. Carry out regular audits and observations. Address and escalate any non compliance or quality issues immediately. Provide remedial action and coaching where appropriate
  • Ensure adherence to all legal and contractual Centre standards including Data Protection, Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety
  • Ensure the learner journey meets the learners needs whilst maintaining a commercial focus
  • Assist with the introduction and implementation of new processes, procedures, programmes or working practices and manage change effectively and promote positivity throughout the team
  • General ad hoc duties as required
  • Ensure product knowledge and CPD activity is maintained and continually updated in line with the organization and contractual requirements
