I Work as an IT Professional

Our IT Professional programme will provide you the skills, knowledge and qualifications required to be success in your chosen IT role. The programme has a balanced content in the technical, business and interpersonal areas, designed to ensure you have a rounded set of skills to operate in today’s competitive IT sector.

Programme Content

Our programmes are made up of a number of units, some mandatory with additional optional units chosen to reflect your job role. A sample is provided below

  • Install and upgrade software
  • Software development
  • Web development
  • Databases
  • Provide technical advice and guidance
  • Test IT systems and problem solve
  • Working with hardware and peripheral equipment
  • Operate a computer network
  • Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, VM Ware and CompTIA accreditation

Duration & Format

You can complete our programmes within 12 to 24 months subject to your prior experience and qualifications that you may already have. You will be appointed a personal Assessor for the duration of your programme who will visit you on a regular basis at your place of work. Your assessor will provide one to one training and assessment over the duration of the programme, leading to nationally recognised qualifications. .

What you will achieve

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence (PROCOM)(QCF)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Award in ICT Systems & Principles for Practitioners (PROCOM)
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and IT (exempt if you already hold GCSE passes or higher)
