Our Business and Administration programme will help you to develop the skills you need to work as a highly effective administrator in a whole range of industry sectors, developing your organisational, technical, managerial and communications skills.

Programme Content

Our programmes are made up of a number of units, some mandatory with additional optional units chosen to reflect your job role. A sample for each level is provided below.

Business and Administration Intermediate

  • Work within your business environment
  • Contribute to decision making in a business environment
  • Supervise a team in a business environment
  • Supervise an office facility
  • Contribute to running a project
  • Organise business travel or accommodation
  • Deliver, monitor and evaluate services to external customers
  • Plan and organise meetings
  • Order Products and services
  • Design & produce documents in a business environment

Business and Administration Advanced

  • Supervise an office facility
  • Assess, manage and monitor risk in a business environment
  • Evaluate and solve business problems
  • Make decisions in a business environment
  • Manage an office facility
  • prepare, co-ordinate and monitor operational plans
  • Implement, monitor and maintain administrative services
  • Design and develop an information system
  • Contribute to innovation in a business environment
  • Plan change for a team

Duration & Format

You can complete our programmes within 9 to 16 months subject to your prior experience and qualifications that you may already have. You will be appointed a personal Assessor for the duration of your programme who will visit you on a regular basis at your place of work. Your assessor will provide one to one training and assessment over the duration of the programme, leading to nationally recognised qualifications.

What you will achieve

  • Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business and Administration
  • Principles of Business and Administration Level 2 or Level 3
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and IT (exempt if you already hold GCSE passes or higher)
