What you can expect from us

We want to help you to achieve your career and life goals. We are committed to ensuring your wellbeing, your security and to providing a safe environment. We will also aim to provide all the information you may need to succeed on your course as follows:

Before your course starts, we will:

  • Give you a full induction to Go Train and your learning
  • Give you a careers Information, Advice and Guidance session (IAG)
  • Assess your learning needs
  • Make sure we have correct information about you and your goals
  • Tell you really important things to keep you safe and aware
  • Make sure you have the chance to discuss, in confidence if you prefer, any particular needs you may have and how we can best support you to achieve

 During your course we will:

  • Tell you each day what your learning will cover
  • Encourage you to join in the course and contribute to learning
  • Encourage you to make a real effort and get the most from this opportunity
  • Ask you to take part in reviews of your progress
  • Help you to learn new skills and get closer to achieving your personal goals
  • Make sure your learning and qualification is delivered to a high standard and in accordance with our quality assurance procedures

At the end of the course, we will:

  • Confirm with the awarding organisation that your work meets the required standards expected by them and they will issue your certificate
  • Ask you to tell us what you think about your experience with Go Train
  • Ask you to tell us about how you feel about what you have achieved
What we expect of you

As a Go Train learner, we expect you to:

  • Turn up on time each day
  • Really join in with your course
  • Ask questions to help your learning
  • Inform us of any absences
  • Complete assessments, tasks and assignments
  • Behave in a way that ensures the safety and wellbeing of other learners and our staff
  • Help us to make sure our caring, safe inclusive way is maintained
