Go Train Sun Pier Centre, Now Open!

A new opportunity  for Go Train to support the community in Chatham, Medway and the surrounding areas.

It is an exciting time of expansion for Go Train, who have always been one of the largest adult training providers in the South East, as the company have expanded their reach further into Kent. The new Sun Pier centre will offer residents of Chatham and the surrounding areas the opportunity to achieve new qualifications, gain new skills, build confidence and ultimately get back into employment.

The opening day celebrations started early on Wednesday 18th May, with participants, learners, employers and a range of local stakeholders coming into the new centre to meet with the Chatham team. Joined by representatives from Shaw Trust, Medway Council, Job Centre Plus and CXK to name a few, the busy nature of the day gave a taste of things to come from this bustling centre. Go Train Regional Manager for Kent, Charlotte Killick, was greeting everyone throughout the day and had this to say about what lies in store for the new premises:

“It’s been a fantastic day opening our new site in Chatham with our partners and learners, we are really looking forward to delivering a wide range of funded courses for the local community in the Medway area.”

Located just off of Medway Street, right in the heart of the area, the new centre will quickly look to establish itself in the community by immediately starting in-centre courses, offering employment opportunities and helping locals further.

Marco Ferrara, Chief Executive Officer is enthusiastic about the opportunity this new centre presents and stated, “Our new Chatham centre will form an important hub for Go Train’s delivery in Kent and help build even stronger ties with the local community as we continue to deliver on our mission to Transform Lives across the UK.”

We are likely to see further Go Train expansion over the course of coming months as the company look to assist more communities up and down the country, both in-centre and with their new online learning provision.
