Go Train, one of the South East’s largest adult training providers, has opened a new training centre in Kent Enterprise House, Herne Bay to support local people find new jobs in the community. The centre will offer local residents the opportunity to gain qualifications, build confidence, overcome barriers and ultimately find work.

Steven Wines, Chief Executive Officer is enthusiastic about the new location, stating “The new centre will benefit both the community and businesses within the area, bridging the skills gap. We are extremely proud of the Herne Bay residents that have already learnt new skills and found jobs with local employers in such a short space of time.”

Mirelle Frost, Chief Executive of Kent Enterprise Trust, a charity set up to help local people into or back into employment said ‘We are delighted to have a new employability training partner in the building and are already working closely to share resources to benefit local people in a difficult economic climate.”

John, a learner who recently attended Go Train’s centre, studied maths and various vocational courses and is now working for local employer, Herne Cars. “I have improved my CV with new qualifications, increased my confidence and received advice on finding employment. I now work for Herne Cars as a driver and I’m very grateful to the Go Train team who helped me succeed.”
